Fort Lauderdale’s cruise terminal is just about three miles from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and about 25 miles north of the Miami International Airport.

Anyways, we are now on board our ship, the Prinsendam and sailing away to travel around South America and including Antarctica for 67 days.
We are so blessed to travel the world, meet new friends, learn about other culture and language and have some wonderful experiences.
It's been three years since we've been back to South America. We're specially excited about Antarctica,Falkland island, and the Amazon.
In 2009, we tried to land in Falkland Island, but we were not allowed because our Cruise Director was sick plus two other passengers.
At that time, there were more people on board the ship than the entire population of the island. I am hoping this time, we could land and see what it has to offer in terms of nature and history.
I've also been excited about Ushuaia, called the “ end of the world “. It has always been one of my favorite place in the Southern Hemisphere, super beautiful like British Columbia, peaceful and richly endowed with natural resources.
Honestly, I love the South American food too especially in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Montevideo. They have lots of savory food and good wine to go with it.
I'm also excited about the hundreds of photo opportunities that lay ahead of us during this trip. This is certainly going to be another amazing trip!

Who knew there was a place called Ushuaia? Not me! Will follow you two all the way. 21 degrees in Houston last night. That would be balmy for New Hampshire! From Frances, on Jan 8, 2017 at 04:52PM
