Albany is a port city in the Great Southern region in the Australian state of Western Australia, 418 kilometres (260 mi) southeast of Perth, the state capital. The city centre is at the northern edge of Princess Royal Harbour, which is a part of King George Sound.
It is s on the migration route for several species of whales and in 1978 the station was the last in Australia to stop hunting.
Today, Albany's Historic Whaling Station is dedicated to whales and the historic industry with interactive exhibits.
Ranked as one of the best places to raise a family, this lively city is full of nice neighborhoods and plenty of entertainment options. It has many historical buildings,a beautiful coastline and very temperate climate.
