Kiwi Magic- Auckland

With New Zealand's estimated human population at 5.15 million, it was the lowest ratio of sheep to people since the 1850s.

New Zealand may be called the Middle earth but it's no wall flower when it comes to adventures that raises your adrenalin level. Most of the cruise ship dock in Auckland long enough to pursue one or more of the following escapades: sky dive, wahite water rafting, bungee jump, jet and boat ski, canyon hiking and bicycling.

From the moment we got closer to New Zealand, there was a wave after wave of breath taking landscape. Turquoise seas, and snow capped mountains, and the rain forest stood out.

Auckland's mix of cosmopolitan city, Maori culture and an over abundance of dramatic landscape matched with acclaimed Kiwi hospitality is simply not to be missed. Whether you are hiking, driving or indulging in Kiwi cuisine, a day spent in Auckland is unlike any other.

On this sunny morning, we took the ferry to Davenport island. Rotorua is Maori heartland. It has an eerie landscape with mud boils and churns like primordial stew. Steam seeps from cliffs and sidewalks leaving a sulfuric smell of rotten eggs.

A the end of the day, all I could say is, New Zealand is a place for the physical and spiritual journey!
